WHYTHE STORY

THE WORLD RECORD STARTS HERE // FINISH THE WORK IN FRONT OF YOU.

THE WORLD RECORDONE MILLION METRESI AM MOVED ONLYBY WHAT I BELIEVE

I’m Jared Hunt, a father of five from Hamilton. On 26 December 2026, I’m going after the million-metre SkiErg world record, with the fastest million across SkiErg and RowErg as the outright target. Why?

“I want to know what’s on the other side of my faith. I want to know what the limit is, or if it really was a lie all along and there is, in fact, no such thing. I do not want to live a comfortable, safe, easy life, hiding from adversity. Most of all, I want to embrace wilful suffering with all of my heart because, for all the life I have lived, I am certain of few things, but this is one: comfort is a false idol.”
01THE 24-HOUR

24 HOURS // TWO BOYS // ONE ROWERG

24 HOURS. TWO OPPORTUNITIES.

MEET THE BOYS, WATCH THEIR VIDEO & BACK THE 24 HOURS →

Levi’s rowing. Caleb’s Nouméa exchange.
Two opportunities they’re working to fund, one 24-hour grind.

One RowErg. Shared effort.
Levi and Caleb alternate on one RowErg, rowing 12 hours each across the 24-hour event. I’ll ski beside them throughout.

24-HOUR TANDEM ROWERG // FUNDRAISING FOR ROWING

Levi wants rowing. So this is him putting work behind the opportunity: sharing the RowErg with Caleb for 24 hours while raising money for fees, uniform, training and the chance to see how far he can take the sport.

BACK LEVI →

24-HOUR TANDEM ROWERG // FUNDRAISING FOR NOUMÉA

Caleb wants Nouméa. He and Levi put something real behind the ask: one RowErg, one 24-hour clock, and no pretending the opportunity costs nothing. His fundraising goes first toward the exchange, then sporting development.

BACK CALEB →

“WHEN THE ONLY THING REQUIRED IS DAYS TO THE FINISH LINE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT BUT PERSISTENCE...”

“...THEN YOUR RACE IS A MEASURE OF CHARACTER, NOT TIME.”

That’s the thing I want to give away when I’m done. I want to be an inescapable testament to the doctrine of grit and perseverance, to carry the necessary gravity my message requires, and continue to do so, so I can credibly challenge whoever I’m blessed to get my message in front of:

DARE TO BELIEVE!
